・ベーコンはお好き？？

　今回は「ベーコン」をご紹介します。　紹介する位だからちょっと高価なベーコンですよ～


　ｅｇｇ家では男連中がこぞって食べる肉があります。　それは。。。　クジラ　

　千葉・浦安の方に出かけた時は必ず寄る魚屋さんがあって、そこで購入するのです。
　もちろん、クジラ肉がない時の方が多く、あった時は「やったぁぁ！」という喜びようなのです。

　そんなに好きなのに、なぜか一度も食べたことがないものがあります。　
　それは．．．鯨ベーコン
　
　昨年２度ほどｅｇｇは１人で長崎にふらりと出かけました。　２度とも日帰りでしたけれど

　大村市の長崎空港で、高価な鯨ベーコンをそういえば沢山みましたね～～～～～～～～～
　それ以外の鯨の部位も冷凍してたくさん売られていたっけ。
　どうして買う気にならなかったのか？　それは、食べ方も味も想像がつかないから！

　それが、今回　食べるチャンスが来たのです　　　では～　ご紹介！！

　　　

　なんだか可愛くないですか～　チューリップのようです。　赤み加減もとてもキュートだわぁ～

　この鯨ベーコンは、長崎県佐世保市の鯨肉専門店中林商店さんのものです。
　やっぱりさすが長崎！
　北太平洋、南氷洋の調査捕鯨のミンク鯨が中心なのだそう。
　ベーコン以外にも色々な加工の仕方があります。

　では、冷凍されていてもこの薄さですから、、、
　すぐに解凍して食べられる鯨ベーコンを実際に食してみますね～～

　こんな風に、切らずにそのまま盛りつけてみました。
　食べ方のお勧めは、酢醤油かポン酢と書かれていたので「ポン酢」でいただきました。

　　　　おっふぉふぉ～～～

　初めての食感ですっ　白い脂部分がまずとろっと溶けてきます。
　そのあと、コリコリ部分がずっと口の中でしっかり味を主張してくる感じですね。

　臭みがあるか？　
　苦手意識が強いと少々感じるかもしれませんが、ポン酢でさっぱりいただけます。
　味はまろやかで、噛めば噛むほどじわっと旨みが出てきます。

　１枚目より２枚目、更に３枚目の方が美味しく感じます。
　舌が慣れてくるのでしょうね。
　そして、もう終わっちゃったの～～　ってくらい、あっという間になくなってしまいました。

　それからというもの、魚屋さんや鮮魚コーナーで鯨ベーコンを探すようになりました　

　でも．．．　怖くて手が出せません。
　もし、美味しくなく外れだったら、、、せっかく好きになったのに　食べられなくなるかも．．．と。

　そして、また中林商店さんのＨＰをチェックするのでした。
　他の部位も食べたいな～～　お試しセットも用意されているので　皆さんもいかがでしょう
　


　今日は二男の高校が、推薦入試の関係で休みです。　やったぁ。　お弁当を作らなくて
　すむ！と思いきや、三男が社会科見学で早朝からお弁当です．．．　母は休めない！！

クジラ・・・苦手。(^_^;)昔、給食での竜田揚げが・・・嫌いだったし。ベーコンもおいしいと思えなくて。

私も給食の鯨が苦手でした。
というか子ども時代ほとんど食べられるものがなかったのです。
今はかなり偏食が改善されたので鯨も食べられるようになってるか
試してみたいです。

クジラのベーコンは小さいころに親が買ってきてよく食べていました。
その頃は安かったみたいです。
マヨネーズで食べた記憶が？ポン酢で今度試してみます。
